Ok, so I love featuring artists, but for those of you who find it a bit of a pain, I have invented: THE FEATURES GAME!
You wanna play, don’t ya?

THE RULES (It’s really very simple):

1. Select a deviation. This deviation has to be a personal favourite, or mean a lot to you in some way, and it can’t be your own work.
2. If you haven’t already, add the deviation to your faves and leave a little heartfelt message.
3. Scroll down the list of comments for the deviation, and pick one. It could be random, or you could select it based on the deviant’s comment/icon/name. The important thing is to pick something that stands out for you.
If the deviation doesn’t have any other comments, look at the faves// look at a different piece of work by the same person// look at the comments on their homepage.
4. Go to that deviant’s page. Look through their work. Take your time. When you have looked through their gallery, select the image you like most.
5. Add the deviation to your faves and leave a little heartfelt message.
6. Scroll down the list of comments for the deviation, and pick one. It could be random, or you could select it based on the deviant’s comment/icon/name. The important thing is to pick something that stands out for you.
If the deviation doesn’t have any other comments, look at the faves// look at a different piece of work by the same person// look at the comments on their homepage// look at their faves.
7. Repeat steps 4 to 6- it’s up to you how many times, but have a set number in your mind- I like to do this for 10 deviations.
8. On your last deviation, regardless of what it is, add the deviant to your friend’s list.
9. Post a journal entry, detailing ‘The Features Game’ (and crediting me, if you please), as well as featuring the 10 deviants and their work.

Could it BE any simpler?!?!

Here is my example (in association with deviant-ARCADE:
find great features and share art with your *deviant-ARCADE web-ring) :

1. :iconmisspaperclip: ‘welcome 24’
2. :iconlecircus: ‘the hen glance.’
3. :iconiamdabluepowerranger: ‘The Good Old Days:
4. :iconmonamore: (who had no deviations, so I picked from her faves)
5. :iconpetitjereve: ‘.Rosso’
6. :iconswellshade: ‘gli impermeabili’
7. :iconshantelitya: ‘SuGar’
8. :iconxxxsecretangelxxx: ‘color’
9. :iconbutterfly46: ‘.. ID Winter ..’

I am a member of many clubs, and the Indie Photogrpahy Club is one of my favorites.
:iconindiephotographyclub:

The work in the club gallery is so varied and beautiful and there's pracitcally something for everyone.
It also includes work from both professional and unknown deviants, and because its well-known it helps unknown deviants become.. well, known.

So, that is all really.

Much love,
Ginger

Ok, so I haven’t been very active lately, but I’m trying to get out of that. I’ve got so new ideas that I wanna try out, so some new stuff should be coming soon.

I'm also clearing my previous journal entries and shizzle soon, 'cos I wanna start again.

I’ve applied to quite a few clubs and enteed some contests, to try and get into the whole community spirit. I have’nt really head too much from the clubs though. Oh well.

I’ve also been trying some new stuff- photomanipulation, drawinh, landspcaes. It’s been fun, and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I am going back to what I know best, though, and new collages + photos will be coming along shortly.

Well, I've had an interesting day- I've been to the NEC in Brimingham. Now, don't get your hopes up- I didn't go to a concert or a fashion or anything. Or no- I went to a Doll's House Convention.
My Mom got a big blue doll's house for Christmas, and we haven't heard the last of it since. Every single Tuesday, she goes out with my Nan (who got a Doll's House too) to the doll's house in either Wellington or Newport and spends ridiculous amounts of money on minature furniture. It's kind of ridiculous, considering she would'nt let Conor collect Warhammer, which is basically the same except you play games with Warhammer and doll houses are just there to look pretty.
So far, she decorated a mini kitchen and a mini living room, and is just looking for 'the finishing touches'- hence our expedition.
I left the house in my usual 'Detective Chic' outfit- jeans, Converse, top and jacket. We took the people carrier and picked up Nan and Granddad and went on our way, whilst I worte my latest short stroy and listened to music on my MP3 in the back seat.
We took the shuttle to the exhibition halls and began our hunt for small accesories. Conor complained about being hungry from the very second we got there- as per usual.
The exhibition took up one of the halls- it was pretty big, actually. The guys and grils split off, and Dad, Granddad and Conor managed to get around the whole hall twice in the amount of time it took Nan & Mom (with me in tow) to get down 2 aisles. Lets put it this way- Nan spent an hour at one stall, poring over tiny cushions. Tsch.
I must say, you can buy mini-everyhting there- houses, shops, bars, dolls, dresses, garden furniture, conservatories, food, clocks, bottles, carpets, paintings, bookcases- EVERYTHING.
Despite this, I was majorly bored. There are only so many stalls of tiny curtain swatches you can lok at before you're so bored you could eat yourself. I was pretty close to eating myself, mamaging to distract myself only by locating the bathrooms, drinking Cola and catching up with the males.
FINALLY, Nan & Mom decided they were finished (having amassed £50 worth of little furniture betweent them), at which point we went to dinner at a restaurant somewhere just outside of town. I had some really dry butterfly chicken and the only thing that didn't contain chocolate on the dessert menu- vanilla ice cream.
We then stayed at the Grandparent's house another good hour whislt Dad tried to fix Grandad's modem connection or something. On the plus side, Grandad's given us a state-of-the-art, digital view finder, anti-shake, auto-focus, extended lens camera. Downside: due to my clumsy tendencies, Dad is going to cover it in bubble wrap and make sure I never ever touch it.
How long do adults take to things? We've been moving at comatose speed all day- spending hours languishing over expensive small accesories, taking hours over bad meal, wasting time inspecting computers. I don't like things to be slow- they need to be fast-paced- constantly moving with momentum and ambition, constarnyl on the ball, doing all sorts of things, seeing colour, doing something memorable, trying something new. I know Grandad likes the same sort of thing (and has the money to furnish it), but he tends to have to use a wheelchair outside of his house, because he has serious respiratory problems.
We got home eventually, and my stomacxh has been in agony ever since. I tried curlign up, and I'm hoping I can sleep it off.

Yesterday was the MCR gig and my friends wil not SHUT UP ABOUT IT.
Izi, Lorna, Ru, Bowman, Alex, Elle, Roxy & Joe all went to see My Chemical Romance- I disowned Izi for the day, becuase I hate them and thing Gerard Way can't sing and they're generally very depressing and/or crap. Apparently it was brilliant and none of them died (surprisingly). See, we have a scale:
Pop: You'll enjoy it (if you're strange enough to listen to pop)
Indie: Mild squishing, but yeh, it doesn't matter.
Louder Indie, Punk-Rock: Squish fest.
Emo: There's a good chance you'll die.
Thrash Metal/ Screamo: You're going to be beaten, raped, eaten and only THEN will they kill you.
Alternative (MEEE): You will be painted purple and worshipped as a reincarnation of a llama. Yaay.
MCR pretty much fits in around the fatal squish fest marker.
Anyway, Izi and Alex cocked up the whole lift system, 'cos Izi decided she wanted to go by train (even though she siad she'd give lifts to people) and Alex's parents aren't in the counry (even though he said the same thing). So, Lorna's Dad had to squish an extra person in the middle seatbelt.
Anyway, last night the plan was that I would deter The Turnip Formerly Known As Loverboy becuase is would pretend to get off with Lovebug (using that wierd trick with your little fingers) at the bus stop just as his bus pulled away, and Izi (who was on the bus) would shout 'OH MY GOD! THEY'RE SNOGGING!' Izi being the overly-loud Drama Queen she is, she was bound to get his attention, and voila, no more Loverboy. Well, that was the plan, but Izi skipped Chemistry so she could get the bus on time, and the bus left before I got into town.
Bowman and Izi went on the bus, and they saw Loverboy, and they agree that he really does look like a Turnip, and apparently has a scarily gay voice. God, this boy is going down in my estimation quickly.
Now, we have to use Plan B: Ignore him completely.
